Chapter [ 2 ]
Membership


 Eligibility for Membership

    4. Myanmar nationals who have studied at educational and training institutions in Japan are eligible for
         membership according to the following rules.
        (a) Ordinary Member
                Those who have studied at least for a year at a stretch
        (b) Associate Member
                Those who have studied for less than a year
    5. An Associate Member of two years standing shall be upgraded to Ordinary Member

 Application for Membership

    6. Those wishing to join the Association shall fill up the prescribed form and tender the application duly
         recommended by a member. The Central Executive Committee will then decide on the acceptability or
         otherwise of the applicant. (Founding members do not require the recommendation of another member.)

 Membership Card

    7. In recognition of the admission as a member, a membership card duly signed by the president of the
         Association and impressed with the association seal shall be issued to the member. The card must bear the
         usual signature and photograph of the member concerned.

 Admission and Annual Fees
    8. Admission and annual fees are presently prescribed as follows.
        (a) For ordinary member                            (b) For associate member
               Admission fee=K.3000.                               Admission fee=K.2000.
               Annual fee=K.2000.                                     Annual fee=K.1000.
    9. Admission and annual fees are payable at the time application for membership is submitted.
        The fees shall be returned in case the applications is not successful.
        Members are required to pay the annual fee for the following year latest by 31 March.
